Practice Fire Safety

Sound the Alarm is a home fire safety program sponsored by the Akron chapter of the American Red Cross, the Akron Public Schools, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, and the Akron Fire Department.

Included in the program is the installation of home smoke alarms, installed by local firefighters, at no cost to residents.
