What Is A.I. Policy
for Ohio Schools ?

As mandated by state's legislature, all Ohio schools must adopt a formal Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) policy by July 1 of this year.

To meet this mandate, the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce has released a model policy for A.I. usage in the classroom.

The use of A.I. by students and teachers will vary depending on the grade level, subject, and assignment.

A.I. might be appropriate for brainstorming or some research, but cannot be used to generate work that replaces work by the student.   It can be used to help students complete their assignments, but not do the assignments for them, the policy states.
